Infrastructure-as-Code

We built our IaC platform from the ground up. It's the heart of our global scalability, resiliency, and comprehensive security posture. We orchestrate seamless transitions from dev to prod with logically isolated environments separated by inspection layers. From CI/CD pipelines through testnets to production environments, every aspect is scripted, checked, and versioned. That means faster deployments, robust scaling, and complete transparency.

 

In fact, since our entire architecture deploys programmatically, we measure our Total Time to Recovery (TTR) in minutes, not hours or days.

When it comes to validators and nodes, web3 raises the stakes. Security systems have to go beyond traditional IT and cloud security — from wallet lifecycle management to global-scale peer-to-peer interactions. Our fortified, zero-trust network architecture is underpinned by CIS-hardened, minimized operating systems. 

 

We've also implemented software supply chain checkpoints that audit our dependencies and build everything from source.

 

We're not just compliant; we're building new and relevant standards. We are developing an open source security framework fit for the next iteration of the web.

web3 moves fast ---- we develop and implement cutting-edge tech in our workflows to stay ahead. In a constantly evolving landscape with fragmented resources, AI isn't just an asset but a competitive edge. As experts in ML, we are developing models that constantly rightsize our infrastructure in near-real time based on network conditions. 

We are also perfecting our in-house, fine-tuned LLMs that dynamically sift through protocol documentation and code bases, drastically decreasing our development time.

Our Team

Based in Washington, DC

Our team brings together expertise from highly regulated sectors -- banking, defense, and healthcare. We have a deep-rooted understanding of navigating intricate regulatory landscapes, all while going fast to deliver technology where it's needed most. We are bringing this expertise to web3's infrastructure layer. We chose to build in Washington DC in order to be a physical presence for both enterprises and policy makers.

Scott Seidenberger
Managing Director

Scott is co-founder and Managing Director at Epoch Forge. He comes to web3 from a decade in aerospace & defense tech as a former Air Force Officer. A PhD Student in Data Science, he studies distributed systems and AI and wants to bring his operational expertise to web3. He has been involved in web3 since mining Ethereum out of his dorm room.

He holds an MS in Data Science from Penn State and a BS from Cornell.

Steven Sacks
Director, Security & Risk

As Director of Security & Risk at Epoch Forge, Steve runs a comprehensive security program that is a pillar of our firm's identity. He routinely advises boards of directors on digital risk and operations, and he is bringing the best to bear from web2 to web3, to not just follow industry best practices, but lead in helping set them.

He is a CISSP and has as an MA in Security Studies from Georgetown with a BA from Cornell.

Alec Sokol
Co-Founder, CTO

Alec is co-founder and Director of Engineering at Epoch Forge. He moved across the country from the Bay Area where he built global-scale data platforms and earned two patents in streaming data. He is passionate about applying what he deployed at big banks to decentralized technologies and finding creative solutions to the current challenges in scaling web3. 

He is an AWS solutions architect professional and holds a BS in Computer Science from Cornell.

Michael Furr
